Gynecomastia is a condition of the male breast that causes the breast to have a more female shape and fullness. This condition may be as a result of excess fatty tissue, or more likely, excess breast tissue. The size of the nipple and areola (the surrounding pigmented tissue) may be normal, or may be larger and fuller. A more masculine chest can be achieved through surgical correction. Surgery can be performed with either ultrasonic liposuction, surgical excision of the tissue excess, or a combination of both depending on the individual and the type of tissue excess. |
