At Bodies by Bandy, Dr. Bandy uses the coronal brow lift method. (2) This is considered the standard method and offers patients significant results and benefits. During a coronal brow lift, Dr. Bandy can minimize visible scarring by hiding the incision beneath the hair. This method is effective for reducing the appearance of forehead wrinkles and glabellar or “11” lines.

During this consultation, Dr. Bandy will perform a medical examination to look at the condition of the skin and treatment area to determine the best treatment plan to help each patient look and feel their best. After deciding on a treatment plan, pre-operative and post-operative instructions will be prepared for each patient. Our patient consultants will sit with each patient to discuss the cost of their treatment plan and discuss available financing options. Preparation
Before each procedure, Dr. Bandy and our patient consultant will prepare each patient for their treatment. Patients may be asked to refrain from consuming certain medications or supplements that may thin the blood, such as ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E. Patients should pre-arrange transportation home from their procedure and any necessary time away from work or other social commitments. If applicable, patients who smoke should be prepared to quit a few weeks before the procedure and refrain from nicotine use until fully healed.

Procedure
The procedure begins with the administration of anesthesia to ensure each patient feels completely relaxed and comfortable during their procedure. Dr. Bandy will make an incision at the top of the scalp but behind the hairline to discreetly hide any potential scarring. She will then reposition the tissue, lifting the position of the brows and restoring youth to the face. The underlying muscles are adjusted to target deeper wrinkles and fine lines in the face. After the adjustments are made, Dr. Bandy will carefully close the incision.
Results & Recovery
Throughout the first week of healing, patients may experience mild swelling, bruising, and discomfort in the treatment area. While these effects will subside, they can also be managed through the use of recommended or prescribed medication. Patients should make an effort to rest following their procedure and should refrain from physical activities or strenuous exercise until fully healed or approved by Dr. Bandy. After about 1-2 weeks, patients will be able to start returning to work and resume non-intensive activity. Full activities can resume around 6 weeks after the procedure once the treatment site has fully healed.
Patients will be able to see the full effects of their brow lift about 3-6 months after their procedure date, once any remaining swelling diminishes. The eyes will appear to be more alert and attentive, and patients will be able to enjoy looking more refreshed. The natural-looking results of a brow lift can last from 5-10 years, making this a long-lasting procedure.
Corresponding Procedures
Many procedures can be performed alongside a brow lift to achieve full facial rejuvenation. One of the most common is the eyelid lift or blepharoplasty. Blepharoplasty is a treatment that helps tighten the eyelids through the repositioning of facial tissue. Excess fat and skin are delicately removed to create a more youthful look and reduce under-eye bags and puffiness.
